Toughest Crowd Ever

I don't always enjoy Tough Crowd. Sometime, it simply falls fall. But not tonight. I always enjoy stinging debate between Colin Quinn and Mark Maron. Maron is offically the President of the Young though Middle Aged Left Wing Rebelion Club, and Colin calls him on it every time - Maron thinks he is right most of the time. I do agree with what he has to say, but not his approach. All night tonight, Maron pinned everything on the "Right wing agenda," and just pounded Colin into the ground. I've never seen Colin stare at a panelist with the intent of burning his soul - they had a staring contest. Maron and Colin had some major words. It was a great debate overall, first focusing on a Republican senator who referred to a female senator with whom he was debating on the Senate floor as "a nice lady." Was this a condesending statement? After blaming the far right, calling her too sensitive, calling her a strong woman for speaking out, blaming the democrats, I felt completely energized...and somewhat confused.

Side note: They had one of the Best Week Ever guys, Christian Finigan, on the show. He provided much needed comic relief. Well, he did tell Judy Gold that she had a "big cock" right before the first commercial break. Pin drop. Total confusion. Angry lesbian.

Time for bed. G'night.
