Hello, I'm Johnny Cash.

Just saw "Ring of Fire." I enjoyed it very much, though much of the Oscar buzz I think is premature. BUT Resee Whitherspoon does deserve her own statue - she was fantastic and adorable. And DAN JOHN MILLER played Luther Perkins, who played with Johnny during the first half of his career. WTF? Detroit represent.

Thanks to our friends and wikipedia, I learned some interesting Johnny Cash facts:

- "A Boy Named Sue" was actually written by Shel Silverstein. Yep, "Where the Sidewalk Ends".
- "Ring of Fire" was actually written by June Carter and Merle Kilgore.
- Johnny's next door neighbor was Roy Orbison. Roy's house caught fire in 1968 and killed two of his three young sons.
- From 1969 to 1971, Johnny has his own television show on ABC.
- Johnny only went to prison seven times, all for just one night.
